Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) V16.06
This release adds a userspace NVMf (NVMe over Fabrics) target, conforming to the newly-released NVMf 1.0/NVMe 1.2.1 specification. The NVMf target exports NVMe devices from a host machine over the network via RDMA. Currently, the target is limited to directly exporting physical NVMe devices, and the discovery subsystem is not supported.
This release includes a general API cleanup, including renaming all declarations in public headers to include a spdk prefix to prevent namespace clashes with user code.
Intel® Intelligent Storage Acceleration Libraries (ISA-L) 2.16 Open Source
Intel® Intelligent Storage Acceleration Library (Intel® ISA-L) provides tools to maximize storage throughput, security, and resilience, as well as minimize disk space usage. Learn about the library's set of highly optimized functions for RAID, Erasure Code, CRC, cryptographic hash, encryption, and compression.
This release includes significant performance improvements for compression. Performance on standard corpora up 20%-25% and 2x on high entropy or random data input. New feature: runtime changing of custom hufftables and new flush type FULL_FLUSH type was added.
